Ron Hall Sprinklers Supports Fight Against Cancer

Because of their personal experiences with the disease that affects so many people and so many families, Ron and Sherry Hall wanted to do something to help other community members who also are battling cancer.

The couple came up with a wonderful way to provide compassionate support through their business, Ron Hall Sprinklers, which has been servicing Great Falls and the surrounding areas for the past 38 years.

Ron said they made a plan to donate 1% of the total installation sales this season to Benefis Sletten Cancer Institute through Benefis Healthcare Foundation. The season began in March and will wrap up in late September or early October.

“We’ve been so involved with cancer, and we were involved with the Sletten building,” he said. “We put in the irrigation system, and we have a lot of pride in that.”

Ron described his bout with prostate cancer last year as “a piece of cake.” He was comparing his experience to what his wife has gone through... what she still is going through.

Sherry Hall had oral cancer a couple of years ago. Thankfully doctors were able to remove the tumor, though they had to cut her jaw in half to reach it.

Then Sherry faced an even greater battle. She developed cancer in her lungs and pancreas, and the disease spread throughout her body. Sadly, Sherry passed away in early June 2010.

Ron said with all of the cancer his family has dealt with, giving to Sletten Cancer Institute just made sense.

"It’s a wonderful organization, and it helps a lot of people," he said.
