Benefis Healthcare Foundation Celebrates 10 Years of Improving Patient Care
Ten years of improving and enhancing healthcare services for people throughout northcentral Montana is worth celebrating.Thank you to all our donors for the trust you have placed in Benefis Healthcare Foundation and your support during the past ten years.
Every gift we have received, from the $25 memorial gift to the million dollar estate bequest, has made a positive difference in the lives and healthcare needs of more people than you can ever know. You can see by the numbers below what an incredible impact your gifts have made.
Gift of Life Housing
Nearly 4,000 residents living outside of Great Falls have been provided free housing while receiving cancer and other medical treatment at Benefis.
Angel Fund
A total of 650 families have been helped through our Angel Fund, which provides financial assistance for families who have a very sick child and need to travel outside of Northcentral Montana to receive treatment.
Camp Francis
Nearly 500 campers have attended this bereavement camp designed to help children who are grieving the loss of a family member or someone they were close to with the help of donated funds.
Greatest Need
Unrestricted gifts have allowed us to advance our mission in many ways. One such way was to provide funding to NeighborWorks of Great Falls to build reusable wheelchair ramps. Other examples include funding to Benefis Extended Care Center to purchase new specialized patient beds and supporting an Eagle Scout project to build a helipad in Conrad.
Healthcare Scholarship Program
So far 244 scholarships have been awarded to educate and train healthcare workers to better serve the healthcare needs of the people of Northcentral Montana.
