 When Jan Dodds first found out that she had cancer she just couldn’t believe it. It reminded her that her sister had died two years earlier from cancer. At the time Jan was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma her children were 8, 12 and 13. She thought, “What are my kids going to do. They are little and they need their mom.” As if her fight with cancer wasn’t frightening enough, Jan’s son Ryne was diagnosed with the very same disease at age 17. It created an incredible bond for mother and son that no family wants to face. Unfortunately their experience with cancer didn’t end there. Jan’s father, Ray Dodds, died this past year from Glioplastoma, a malignant brain tumor.
