In memory of our lost Mercy Flight Crew, Benefis Healthcare Foundation is accepting contributions from anyone who would like to directly help the families. You can send your gift to the Foundation and it will be forwarded on to the family you designate the gift to. You may also give a gift without directing it to a specific family. Those funds will be collected and evenly distributed to all three families.
In addition, Benefis Healthcare Foundation has established named scholarships in honor of the fallen crew. Benefis Healthcare Foundation is providing $25,000 to create three permanent scholarship funds in honor of Vince Kirol, Darcy Dengel and Paul Erickson. These will be healthcare related scholarships and a committee will be formed at a later date to discuss the details of the scholarships. The committee will be made up of Benefis Healthcare employees, Mercy Flight crew and the families of those lost in the tragedy. Anyone who would like to honor the crew members so their legacies may live on forever, can direct gifts for the individual crew member or to the overall scholarship fund.
