 Two 2nd grade classes from Fairfield School presented a check to Kathy Avis, Chief Administrative Officer of Sletten Cancer Institute, on Tuesday, May 15 to benefit the Kids Korner. The students raised $218.15 from bake sales throughout the year and determined that the funds should be given to the cancer center. Their decision to give to the Kids Korner was because of a classmate who died last year from cancer. The students were given a tour of the Cancer Center and were able to see first hand how their gift will help.
Kids Korner provides computer and Internet access and materials for children with cancer or living with cancer in their families in a child friendly environment.
